Q) In a recent letter on Instagram you expressed the desire to take on new challenges. Tell us about your plans and goals for 2024. 

A) Now that it’s 2024, the day when I have to go to the military is approaching! Before that day comes, my goal is to spread happiness and laughter to as many people as possible. After pondering about it, I decided I wanted to once again try to properly communicate through social media, with the same confidence I once held during my time as an idol. I didn’t want to just sit around, so I decided to do everything I could to make it happen. ☺️

Q) One of your goals is to reach 100k followers on Instagram. How will you celebrate 100k followers? 

A) If I manage to reach 100k, I would first of all like to express my gratitude in a variety of languages and hold a big event!

Actually, I already told you guys about the event during a livestream when I was an idol! Some of you may remember it, but I promise you can look forward to it!

To give you a hint: it’s something that we will do together!! Haha. We will go somewhere together!

Q) You made your debut with BLACK6IX 7 years ago. What motivated you to become an idol?

A) The reason I was able to continue going after my dreams without giving up is because there were many people who watched my stages, and saw me for who I am, which brought me happiness. 

It’s a fact that if you receive support and comfort, you will gain courage and strength! So from now on, I want to support, comfort, encourage and be there for many people, so I can provide them with that kind of strength and courage too! From this moment forward, I will be your fan!

Q) Which memorable moment in your career as an idol would you want to re-live?

A) I loved that I was able to visit so many countries! I’m glad that I got to see so many places and meet many people! However, I’m grateful for what I have now, and I want to achieve even better things in the future! So rather than going back to that time, please join me in creating a new future together! I want to be together with all of you forever!

Q) What were your high school days like? Give the readers an idea of what you were like in high school.  

A) I was a student who enjoyed going to school. Although I didn’t do much at school, I enjoyed quietly finding my own space and wandering around here and there! (For example: the secluded corner seat on the 5th floor of the library at 1 o’clock.) And I always dreamed of doing something with my friends, so in my third year of high school, I have a fun memory of creating a small café by the classroom window to help relieve the tired minds of my friends who were busy studying.

Q) You recently visited the Philippines, what  was your favourite part about your visit? 

A) I go to the Philippines often, and what I love about the Philippines is that everyone is so friendly. So whenever I go there, I always feel happy and I find myself dreaming of new adventures and setting new goals for myself. It’s as if I come back rejuvenated, feeling healed and refreshed! ^^

Q) Have you picked up any new hobbies recently? Or if not: are there any new hobbies you would like to try out?

A) I’ve recently taken up photography as a hobby, and I’m already looking forward to dressing lightly and going around taking lots of pictures in the spring and summer when the weather is nice!

I will also take some cool shots for you all!

Q) Show us a recent photo you took (non-selfie) and give us the story behind it!

A) This is a photo I took in the plane! When I look outside at the sky I always think of my fans 😭😭😭😭 I miss you all!

Q) What is the biggest misconception about you?

A) I think the biggest misconception is that I’m ‘cute’! I’m actually very manly! The word might not translate well internationally so it’s hard to explain, but I’m a masculine man ^^

Q) Do you have any behind the scenes stories from your episode that you did on X-GARION?

A) It was an extremely cold winter during the filming of ‘X-GARION,’ especially when we were shooting on the rooftop it was so cold that my nose and ears turned red! If you rewatch it and look closely, you will notice it haha. And the chicken I had when I filmed the fried chicken-eating scene was really yummy hahaha. It was a happy time.

Q) What does your ideal morning look like? Take the readers through your morning routine.

A) I start my day by saying a gratitude prayer when I wake up. I don’t really eat breakfast, so after washing up I get ready to head out!! Since I don’t have much to do in the morning, it usually takes me a little over an hour on average!

Q) ​If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you do with these acquired superpowers?

A) I already have Spidey Senses. 🕸️🫢 Gasp!!!!! 🤫😶‍🌫️🫥 It’s a secret!

Q) Which Spiderman actor and movie are your favourites and why?

A) I’m a Korean Spiderman who lives in Earth-248! I have heard a lot about Spidermans from many other places, but Tobey Maguire Spiderman is the Spiderman who seems most similar to me! Haha
